Beat the Heat with Three Summer Cocktails
It's full-fledge summer and our favorite holiday, the 4th of July, is here. We love gathering with friends on the patio, catching up and sharing cool drinks and food. Here are a three summer cocktails for wine lovers.
Chilled Pinot Blush
First, simply chill a glass of Bacarossa Pinot Blush and try it with appetizers. It’s light and a great start to your weekend BBQ.
Pinot Blush Citrus Spritzer
Second, how about a Citrus Spritzer with Baccarossa Pinot Blush, a refreshing and aromatic?
Combine in a pitcher:
1 bottle Baccarossa Pinot Blush
Juice from 1 orange (or 3/4 cup OJ)
1 ounce brandy
1 ounce Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
4 dashes angostura Bitters
2 Tablespoons Agave Syrup, Simple Syrup, or sugar (sweeten to taste)
Add plenty of ice and stir.
Add 1 bottle (16-20oz) sparkling water and gently stir.
Garnish with orange slices.
Red, White and Blue Sangria
Third, our Zinfandel makes a great Sangria.
Combine in a pitcher:
1 bottle Baccarossa Zinfandel
Juice from 1 orange (about 3/4 cup)
Juice from one lemon (about 1/4 cup)
1 ounce Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
2 Tablespoons Agave Syrup, Simple Syrup, or sugar (sweeten to taste)
Add plenty of ice and stir.
Garnish with sliced strawberry, sliced apple, and blueberries.
We like it without adding sparkling water, but if you prefer a lighter Sangria, add a bottle of sparkling water.
